Waiving off the notice period a bit
Dear Lawyer
Below is an extract of an email I had sent twice to our institute's director. No response yet rather asking to serve the lost days to compensate the notice period.
Please suggest
Thanks and regards
Sir, you are aware that i'm suffering heavily from acute asthma and each day has become a day of struggle for me.
In fact the situation has become worse in the past few months that I carry portable oxygen along with me even in the office. Daily nebulization with Budacort ( Steroid medicine) has now become a routine. The mid-night attacks are the worse to handle for me alone. The SCHC is aware of my health conditions so nothing to hide. I got high diabetes in the recent past for which medicines do not work properly as well.
Under these circumstances for me staying alone is a threat to my life as in the case of an emergency there is no one to even take me to the nearest hospital. My deteriorating health condition was another reason why I left the deputy director position as the stress level was high and I was not able to cope up.
God forbid, if something happens to me that it will be a huge truma for my octogenarian parents ( am the only child) and of course my spouse and daughter. I am not getting confidence to stay alone for a longer duration for all obvious reasons.
Therefore, I would beg to your kind self to kindly waive off my notice period to some extent, so that I can remain safe and join my family at the earliest. Regarding the 2 credit course allotted to me, I promise to take the classes online and the evaluations ( if you allow as a visiting faculty for the portions which may be pending yet after I leave).
