Seeking Legal Advice on Termination from a Top IT company
Hi All,
I was terminated by my employer few months back. I had worked for about 2 yrs in the same company.
The reason mentioned was due to compliance issue- unauthorised absence from work.
Just to give a little background of the issue- I was absent from work for few months due to the stress caused by work n went into depression . My parents were in contact with my then reporting mgr n informed abt situation.
By then HR team has already issued warning letters for which my family hav already given a reply to my reporting mgr who inturn in contact with the concernHR team.
It's been 5 months , I was moved to bench by then and informed the HR who was tagged to me at that time about my health issue n informed her that I wanted to relieve from the organisation.
My family were already going through financial difficulties from past few months, so I have changed my decision n luckily I was onboarded to a new project n explained that I had health issues thats the reason I have been on bench for so long. He understood n onboarded me to new project .
Since then I was working in the same project , it was later I realised that my salary was kept on hold .
2 months have gone by I was not getting salary n by the time I have raised this concern in our helpline portal to find out the reason .
I couldn't raise this salary concern with my new reporting mgr as I was scared to talk about my illness n it took me sometime to talk about it openly n by the time I was formally terminated .
The point is since my come back to work (WFH) I couldn't see any communication from HR (might have missed out) to explain my self about my absence from work. However i have been in contact with the current project team members & manager.
Since then i have been following up with HR , Manager n concerned teams ,. Requesting , begging numerous times n explaining about my illness n giving reasons but none have responded positively.
They hav processed my full n final settlement accordingly with out issuing any experience letter.
Do I hav any legal choice here...??
Please clarify.
If needed I can give more clarity n share information .
Regards,
Prasad.
