Eligibility for the post of Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector
I am a diploma graduate in Automobile Engineering, graduated in 2020 and I am preparing for Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector in the Kerala Motor Vehicle Department. The previous notification for Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector mentioned the requirement of one year work experience in the previous notification but now the central government in the motor vehicle amendment act revised the qualification required for Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector by removing the experience required by the notification S.O. 1215(E) dated 8th march 2019. Another notification by the Kerala government, S. R. O. No. 372/2020 dated 23rd January 2020 stated the amendment of qualification required for Motor Vehicle Inspectors to remove experience certificate as a required qualification in case of "direct recruitment", by amending Kerala Transport Special Rules, 1981.
I have heard from different circles and several reputed coaching centres that the government will continue to publish the notification in the same manner without adhering to the recommended minimum qualification by the central government (of not requiring any workshop experience ) and thereby disabling me from appearing the exam as i don't have enough time to make workshop experience before the publishing of the job advertisement since i have only graduated this year and waiting for the job advertisement which is supposed to come soon.
The centre government has also mentioned the case of 'forged' experience certificates obtained by candidates for a sum of money and there is certainly a dearth of women candidates for the job as the workshop experience practically prevent women from appearing the exam.
As of now only one female Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector has been appointed since its inception.
Is there a possible legal recourse in case the job advertisement for
A.M.V.I requires workshop experience?
Thank you
