Variable Pay Isssue for Employee who resigned after appraisal discussion @ Danske IT

I have a query with regards to the variable to kindly help in getting my oneyear hard earned money.
I will be thankful to you.
I joined Danske IT on during the last week of Jan 2018, Due to some personalreason I decided to of the organization.
My Appraisal discussion happened on the 1st week of March 2019 and I haverated as a performer.
I have submitted my resignation on the 15th of March 2019.
After submitting my resignation, I got an update that I wouldn't be receivingmy variable pay.
I reached out to HR and please find the below response from HR.
"As per the policy you are not eligible to get the variable pay.
The policy is quite clear that the employee has to be part of the entireappraisal cycle of Jan to Dec.
I understand that you joined on 29th Jan and you feel that you were part ofthe entire appraisal cycle but we discussed the policy has been quite explicitabout it."
I once again read the policy and please find below information on the policy,
" Employees serving notice
Employees who have resigned and serving notice at the time of the variablepayout will be eligible for the variable payout if they have been part of theentire Performance Appraisal cycle (January to December).
Employees who are rated 1 and 2 and are serving notice will not be eligible forVariable Pay."
I wrote back to HR with the below statement:
" The policy is quite clear that the employee has to be part of the entireappraisal cycle of Jan to Dec.
But the date has not been mentioned anywhere explicitly.
I would have completely agreed with your statement if it was mentioned as 1stJan to 31st Dec.
I have submitted my resignation in the portal on 16th of March 2019 and Ithink that I’m entitled to the variable pay, as per the policy."
Please find the below response from the HR:
"I have mentioned earlier as well employee needs to be there in the entireappraisal cycle and have not resigned to be eligible for the variable pay.
You have joined on 29 Jan 18 and hence it can’t be considered as thecomplete assessment cycle.
If you had any clarifications before you took the decision you could havecontacted me for the same."
I even had a word with my manager on this and the response from mymanager was that HR is the policy owner and nothing can be done here.
But the HR is no where ready to agree that the cycle starts from 1st of Jan andends on 31st Dec.
They are simply pointing on my joining date and my variable pay has been missed.
Kindly help me getting this variable, which my hard earned money, I wouldbe thankful to you forever.
