Pension on pro rata basis after serving 10 years in IAF

I served Indian Air Force as an Airmen (PBOR) for 12 years and 20 days(joined on 3.05.1994) and got discharged from service on compassionate ground. I applied for discharged as I was not eligible for permanent commission due to low medical category(BEE(P)). I had applied for discharge on education ground after achieving higher qualification but it was denied and was asked to request for discharge on compassionate ground. I got discharged on 23.05.2006 on compassionate ground .Meanwhile I had also applied for Probationary post in Union Bank of India (a PSU) through proper channel in OCT-Nov 2005 and also cleared written exam and my interview was scheduled on 25.05.2006 i.e two days after my release from service. Finally I joined Union Bank in 28.08.2006. As many ex-Airmen have got pro rata pension after putting 10 years of service after joining PSUs such as Banks. The only difference between them and me is that they got discharged from service after getting NOC to join Civil Post and I joined PSU after getting discharged from service. Kindly guide If I am eligible for pro rata pension or not. Thanks and regards
