Dob changing

HELLO, My mothers passport is due to expire in 8 months and her DOB mentioned in the passport was wrong (they missed a digit in the date), its the passport office that printed her DOB wrong, so we applied for a new passport after a month and we received a new passport which also has the same wrong DOB as in her old passport , so for the second time too Passport office misprinted the DOB . so we left the passport as it is for 10 years without further changing the DOB Now as her PASSPORT is due to expire , the passport office customer care says there is no way that they can change the DOB and while filling the application for the new passport they tell us to put the wrong DOB as in her old passport in the application , my doubt is that , when we upload the supporting document like DOB certificate, won't there be an issue ?? as the DOB certificate has the correct date and in the application with the wrong DOB . I couldn't find any proper procedures for this , please help me with the correct procedure , thank you
