Maternity benefits

Respected Sir Myfriend worked as pgt guest teacher in a govt school since 2008.But due to promotion of regular teachers to pgt, few guest teachers were relieved and she was one of them. But after gap of almost 1 year, she was given tgt post of concerned subject in janaury 2014 . By that time she conceived, joined on 24 Jan 2014 nd delivery date was in June 2014.Due to complications in pregnancy, she had to take complete rest, so she applied for maternity leave earlier from 24 May a'd she delivered baby in June 2014.But she was not given any salary during maternity leave. She was told that she did not complete required no. Of days to get salary benefits. Could you Pls explain about it. Secondly can a guest teacher has NY right to get breaks from work to breastfeed eed baby below 1 year Thirdly,Can a employer ask to join online teaching during maternity leave? Fourthly _Can a guest teacher avail without pay leave to look after a baby below one year? If yes how long it can be taken?
