Orally terminated from service in een. Instituion

I joined in a physical education college as principal in August 2016, after awarded my doctorate in physical education (at that time I am working in Andhra University). Several requests from college management, because the college was started in 2015 and a malpractice with students marks, as the result the affiliation of the college was pending. I took the situation as a challenge, everything now smooth in academics and administration. Suddenly on 20th of this month college committee secretary told me orally, that we are taken one guy as principal (still he didn’t awarded doctorate). I asked about myself. He said you are very sincere and dedicated and does't has any remarks upon you. I requested to continue till academic year(academic completes on April). At that time I asked about my 6 1/2 months pending salary. He said within 3 to 4 days I will settle you. But till today I havn't get salary. It’s a private institution, getting funds from government. This has given me lots of agony and mental disturbance and wants to know possible legal options. Thanking you.
