Builder charging high maintenance charges
We booked a flat during 2012 January and the builder promised 60+ amenities. Our flats were handed over on 28th September 2014 without any promised amenities. One year maintenance fee was paid during flat purchase. Also they took sign in agreement for maintenance till September 2017 before handing over the keys. The builder supposed to complete the entire project but he was holding 5 blocks construction in between and completed the other 13 blocks. He forced us to extend the maintenance contract for another 15 years which most of us denied. We formed a welfare association with 200+ members and asked the builder to reduce the maintenance cost. We stopped paying the maintenance from October 2017. The builder continued his maintenance and denied us to enter into EB rooms and other common areas. EB rooms are locked by the builder and frequent power disruptions are made. Now the builder has stopped lift access, RO and STP water supply to flush for the nonpayers. When we approach Police they are asking us to get court order to get our basic needs. Is it mandatory?
