Pay fixation regarding

Pay Fixation :- I was appointed as “Sand Model Maker in Jan 1998. I have been directly appointed on the post of Draftsman Grade III in the same College in the Pay Band Rs [deleted] (PB-1) with the grade pay of Rs 2400 after receiving my Technical Resignation and providing me the No objection certificate. Both “Sand Model Maker and “Draftsman Grade III” are Group C Posts. At the time of my appointment on later post I was drawing Basic Pay of Rs 8820 Plus Grade Pay of Rs 2000 as Sand Model Maker. After appointment on later post my basic pay was fixed as Rs 8420 plus Grade Pay of Rs 2400 with effect from 07 Jan 12. Since the Basic pay for the post of Draftsman Grade III is 7510 Plus GP Rs 2400 therefore to protect my Pay my basic Pay has been reduced to Rs 8420 from Rs 8820. My pay has been revised accordingly as Basic pay of Rs 8420 Plus GP Rs 2400 with effect from 07 Jan 2012. I was holding substantive post of Sand model Maker and as per aforesaid OM under VIth CPC my Basic pay of substantive post in the pay band pay shall be protected. Under the grab of pay protection my basic pay has been reduced by Rs 400 so that after including GP of Rs 2400 (which is Rs 400 more than the earlier GP of Rs 2000) the total pay (Basic Pay + GP) comes to that amount which I was drawing immediately before my appointment to the post of Draftsman Grade III.
