Forced to resign from job or else will be sacked.
Dear Sir, I was working in a multi national company for more than 28 years as a Specialist in oil field . Suddenly one day while working ,I was summoned to the technical managers office by my superior. When I reached there the personal manager were also waiting for me. I was told the company not doing financially well so was immediately told to resign and take the compensation or else I will be sacked and compensation will be paid though. I was told I will get gratuity and 15 months basic pay as compensation. I was told to decide now ,I was not allowed to go out of the room or consult anyone . Fearing worst could happen ,I unwillingly forcibly wrote a resignation letter ,signed and gave them then and there only. I was paid my dues in time .but my career and my services for so long were destroyed. My wife a house wife ,and 2 children studying. I felt the compensation too less.I did not get anything more. This happened in January 2016. I was always appreciated for my job in the company.
Since ,I feel cheated by the company,is there any scope for me to fight back legally to get what I deserved. ??
Thanking you.
