Landlord deducting additional rent

Hi, I have rented an house in Bangalore. Unfortunately after 15 days I had to make decision to leave the house due to personal issues. Until this time, the agreement was not created and all the agreement between the landlord and me was only verbal. But when I informed the landlord, that i was planning to vacate, she told me 3 months rent would be deducted. I was willing to pay her 1 month rent as damage, but she was adamant in the 3 month notice period. Now this 3 month notice period was never informed to me even verbally. But after hard negotiation she informed she will deduct 2 month notice amount. I agreed for that informing her, i would continue to stay for 2 months. But she is not allowing me to stay in the house either. Her rule is clear- vacate the house and also I will withhold 2 months rent as damage. Now this is very strange- either she has to allow me to stay in the house during notice period or she has to pay me back the deposit after deducting one month's notice. she is not agreeing for either. Is there a legal way how i can handle this situation
