Resignation after FIR

Dear sir, I resigned from bank of Baroda on 17/11/2017 as I got selected in Post bank in higher scale. My resignation was accepted on 17/01/2018. I was about to leave bank after on 17/02/2018 after completing full notice period. On 22/01/2018 police officer came to my branch and informed me that an FIR has been lodged against branch manager(I was branch manager) regarding a transaction in which person whose account was debited has alleged that branch manager and other bank officials have cheated him along with his village head by taking his thumb impression and hence transferred 211000 in account of village head. He had earlier made this complain to me but in that complain he did not mention name of bank staff and on the basis of this application lien of 211000 was marked in account of village head and whole amount (after consulting Regional office in written)is still lying in account of village head. But in fir he included branch manager name also. Now regional office has conducted an internal inquiry and found no malafide intention of bank's staff. My regional office has recommend my reliving but my GM at ZO is not fully convinced about my reliving. Police has no problem with my change of job. Whether GM can stop my reliving provided I have confirmed that I will always be available whenever bank or police will call me. I am going from one PSU bank to other PSU bank only.
