Obstructing career progression
Sir, Iam a serving airwarrior of IAF enrolled in 2002. i had been allocated with a trade which required a lot of training, after successfully completing training iam continously upgrading my career status both in service and civil studies,at a point of time i applied for Commissioning in IAF and cleared all exams and interveiws but i couldnot get through the all india merit list which is not transparent.
After completion of certain length of service i.e 13 years im supposed to get a SGT rank which is common for all in IAF and with upgraded trade in my case. but all of sudden a retrospective policy came down quoting rank will be processed only after completion of certain courses and rank will be given only if i accept to do obligatory service of 6 years. failure to do so i cannot continue in the same trade and in same rank and policy forced the personel for change of trade. Trade change will affect the experience and knowledge gained in that 13 years but it was forced to do so. due to this i happend to undergo the course and given willingness for obligatory service of 6 years for my rank. now due to that obligatory service terms im not allowed to give any government service exams. now my status in service is bounded and obstructed in service progression and civil service progression. Apart from a Airmen abide by IAF laws do i have any way improve my career status as per constitutional law.
