Tried under child labour act
Hello, yesterday police visited my premises in civil dresses and found a boy who they assumed was employed by us, in reality the boy was a cousin of my employee who kept visiting us since he has come from native place and tried to learn from him, he is at present 15 years old. As the police saw him sitting there they assumed he was working and took him along with them to the station and I was called to the station, on reaching the station I was told that the matter has already been reported to a senior and as per the rules a case has to be filed and child has to be taken to children home, they made me sign arrest/surrender form and made a bail on the same time with a cousin taking a guarantee but however the child is with them and I have already called his father from native place. I am confused about the next course of action and really feel unfortunate for being tried for something which I even haven't committed. I have never seen a police station in life and now ive to face court. And also i wanted to know whether is this considered a serial criminal offense and will this ever create a problem for me in future if I ever try to apply for a visa etc . Any answer is appreciated
