F&f settlement and releaving letter

Dear Sir, I was working for one of the IT companies in Vadodara and initially they offer me job as HR manager and after few days they told me they will offer me Recruitment Manager role and after six months they will offer me HR Manager role, but since I joined they never let me do any HR tasks and only recruitment tasks and after six months they did not let me know for 2 months what is my status, and one day they have meeting with me telling we do not have confidence in your recruitment strategies and therefore we cannot continue with that role and hence cannot confirm you so we will let you know the date we will release you and I told then anyways you do not need my service and you did cheat me at the time of offer I will tell you the date, so I gave them 4 days notice and handed over the assets to the company. The company is telling me to pay the agreement money and 2 month notice period and I told them that if the company does not want my service they have to pay me 2 months notice but I don't want that and I will leave in a month. Do you think the company has right to hold my final money and also release letter or send me legal notice or they are at fault of doing fake recruitment offering something else and then not confirming anything for 2 months in writing after end if probation period. Appreciate your help
