Land Regularization
I bought a gram panchayat approved plot of 167 sq. yards during 2013 in the erstwhile state of Andhra Pradesh and got it registered in SRO in the same year. Since the village where the plot is located is in the vicinity of Hyderabad, the village it seems is covered under Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). As per HMDA, gram panchayat approved layouts falling in their limits are illegal and should have LR. In 2014, Telangana state was formed and in 2015, they released a notification for regularization of layouts whose registration is done prior to December 2015. Eventhough my plot is eligible as per HMDA norms it has not been regularized stating that it is in the vicinity of lakes. The fact is lake is more than 1 km away from our venture. Moreover there are many other ventures which have been developed almost within .0.25 km distance of lake and have been regularized by HMDA. I am not understanding what to do in this situation. Those whose ventures are in lake zone are already lagalized whereas ours which is away is not regularized. What are the options available to me? Do I need to wait for next LRS notification or shall I go to court of law. Kindly help.
