Non-Payment of & Dues by an US MNC having its office in India

I was working as a General Manager in the India Liason office (in Mumbai) of an US MNC having its head office in Texas USA. The company is owned and operated by US citizens of Indian origin. Recently the company took a business decision to slow down its business in India & Asia and hence asked me to resign for which I did oblige and resigned. The company issued me a relieving letter from the head office in Texas but hasn't settled my full and final payment that includes the salary for the month that I last worked for them. I have sent the reminders to them but there hasn't been any reply till now. All the correspondence including my appointment letter, relieving letter, etc. are issued from the HO in Texas which is the main office however I was reporting to the Director-operations who was in their Mumbai Office, since I was responsible for India and Asia business My question is being in India, can I file a suit against the organisation in India, even though the company is not having a registered office in India ?. If Yes, then where we need to file a complaint and suit ?. You can please advise me on my mail ID [deleted]
