Penal interest to be paid by developer is being contested

I had filed a case against a developer in 2015 in the consumer court. In Apr. 2017 the Judge passed a resolution that the developer or his rep. must be present in court as no one was coming from the dev. side. a non bailable warrant was issued in Apr.Inspite of that no one came to court. subsequently 2/3rd arrest warrant was issued. I met the DCP crime in August and appraised him of the same and connivance of police in the issue. 5th Sept the dev. send two advocates to the court and got the warrant removed citing a judgement in the Mumbai high court.They further disputed the interest amount to be paid and said it was too high as decided by the Judge. My Qn: 15th Sept is next hearing. What options are left before the Dev. now. Can he approach the High court n get the Consumer court order rescinded? When he had the time to contest the judgement he did not present himself. Should i now engage the services of a lawyer as i feel the Judge was very lenient and allowed the Dev. to contest her own Judgement.
