Transfer of Rent receipt under Pagdi system

Hi Sir/Madam, My father passed away last month, we are staying in old 2 BHK flat based in Pune which we got for rent under Pagdi system around 40 years ago. We are 4 sisters, out of which my eldest and the youngest sister is married Currently, I am staying with my mother and younger sister in the above mentioned premises We have our documents like, Aadhar card, Ration card, PAN card, Passport etc. registered on the above mentioned premises address We pay the rent regularly but, the rent receipt is on my Uncle's name as we use to stay in joint family My uncle has long before moved out to some other place After my fathers demise the landlord is asking us to vacate the house; He says he needs the house for himself My family condition is not so good that we can buy new house or get house on rent newly My query is: "Can the landlord evict us from our house" Also, request you to please guide me and let me know what should I do to retain the house If you have any other suggestions please do let me know Thank you, Regards
