Elder brother claiming compensation/salary from Father for work.

Can my Elder brother, who has been living with my parents, managing my Dads business affairs, his assets and creditors, finances and cash flow, CLAIM that now he is due salary/compensation/reimbursement for all the years of work he has done??? He has had to do a lot of work but he is living in a 4 bedroom apartment, has access to All the money/income from cleaning up Dads affairs, while my Dad played in the stock market. All along he has been living off my Dads money, and was never successful in his own ventures. All properties are in my Fathers name. And so apparently feels insecure since they have fought all this time, never seen eye to eye and just lived together because they had to. My brother is very depressed and frustrated in general because of we have had the opportunity to live outside. But doestn understand that we have had our own challenges. We have only 2 residential properties left. and he wants his inheritance and along with that he wants a ridiculous amount of salary/compensation. He needs to decide whether he is family member or Paid Employee. But he is not listening to reason. How do we make him understand? This is NOT HUF property. The properties are self acquired and Dad/Mom own them. they do not want to settle anything while they are alive. He can go and live outside if he likes but they cannot divide the house.
