Termination or suspension
I work in a missionary school. I have completed 1yr of my probation and as per the rules I have applied for confirmation but I was put on probation for one more year. I was informed about it verbally but no renue letter was given. Our principal always keeps on threatening me saying that I am on probation and under observation. Though I do my duties sincerely he would keep on scolding me for useless reasons. Last Thursday while going to school I fell down and was unconscious.I was not in a position to send any information. Though before this whenever I took a casual leave I have always informed him in advance either in writing or verbally. However this time when I went to school and was about to sign in the biometric machine principal forbade me from doing so and said that I am not allowed to join duty. He didn't accept my application nor was ready to listen to anything that I have to say. I was physically in a very bad shape not even able to walk properly but he took no notice of that. I was advised not to go but since exams are going on and out of responsibility I went in that condition. He didn't even give me any written document. Latter on my husband went to ask him his only answer was I am in probation and hence he doesn't need to give any reason but asked me to join on Tuesday. Can I charge him for treating me in such inhumane way and not giving me any written letter. He told my husband that he has not consulted the management and hence no decision as such has been taken. He has forbidden me to join just because his ego was hurt as he was not informed about the reason within 24 hour.
