Maternity Benefits
Hi. I have joined my organisation on 16th August,2016 and post that I got to know that I'm pregnant and served the organisation till my delivery that is 23rd Feb,2017. I delivered my baby on 24th Feb'2017. After that I applied for maternity leave and benefits to my HR on mail, to which they reverted that I can take the leave for 3 months but no financial entitlement will be paid. Even I got to know from my sources in the hospital that they were appointing somebody in my absence which they did not because I resumed back my duty before my maternity period gets over as they were not providing me any financial support as per the maternity act. i,e my salary. I resumed my duties on 15th May,2017 along with my baby on verbal permission by CEO. Now when I have started my work in routine without being affected by my baby, the management is forcing me to leave the organisation or leave the baby back home. Please advice me what to do as I dont have anybody to take care of my baby and I cant leave my Job also due to financial constraints. Although they have not given me anything in writing but I'm being mentally harassed. Please suggest what best can be done as I have kept a caretaker for the baby at my office only to which they approve verbally. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
