Share in Paternal Property

I am 2nd of 4 brother. The 1st was unmarried, died in 1997 and has no heir now. During his life, the paternal lands were distributed in 4 part, i.e. each plot was divided in 4 parts, one for each by oral. The 1st brother was living with the family of 3rd one. During his life the 1st and 3rd sold their part of land division jointly in some plots and individually in some plots. In one plot, the 1st, registered his part in the name of wife of 3rd one. After the death of 1st, the 3rd one is trying to keep his possession over the rest of shares of 1st one without any document i.e. purchase/transfer/Vasiatnama. However the 4th brother has snatched his share part in the rest of shares of died 1st one. Myself living out due Government Job, always avoided struggle with the 3rd one for my share part in the rest of shares of died 1st one but always announced that I also have my share in that. Now the 3rd, is trying to sale the part of land in his possession having share of his and the share of died 1st one. What should me do to 1. Get my share in the rest of shares of the died 1st one? I have my share part adjacent to the combined share part of 1st and 3rd. 2. May I stop sale by the 3rd one till proper paper distribution? All the lands are in the name of our father who died in 1957. Please advise! I shall be grateful.
