Suicidal attempt by girl

Hello sir, I want to ask about my younger brother who is 21 yrs old.He is currently studying.He was in the relationship with a girl ,who lives in another city.My brother nd she,they both met online.Brother was busy for many days in the college due to trip,tech fest and terminal exams.So he was not able to talk to the girl well.Also there was some misunderstanding between them like in normal relationship.My bro.was not attending her calls,so she attempted to suicide by hanging herself with the ceiling fan and also made video call to show that to my brother.My brother many times said her not to do that but she didn't stop. Immediately my brother called her friend and told her about that .The girl was living in hostel.So that friend called all the hostel members to stop girl from doing that act.The room was locked.So they broke the door .The girl is saved but unfortunately ,her brain is not functioning nd body not moving . She is in the bed for 1.5 months .She is in critical condition and there are very few chances of her survival. From being that day, my brother is not in good condition, He shared the news with us about what happened.Also I came to know that there was a suicidal note wrote by the girl and there was no name of my brother mentioned in it. My question to u is can my brother get in trouble if a girl is no more or there family members file the case against my brother?? Also I have read the case of Justice P. Devdass of honourable Madras high court where he stated that ,"A person cannot be held responsible or arrested because of someone foolish act or doing .Words stated in a fit of anger will not amount to arrest". Please sir, advise me on this matter.
