PIP served during Pregnancy
I have been working in Sales profile as a Counselor with this company at Jaipur, the company profile is that it prepare students for study abroad . I am 5 months pregnant currently, the same information was shared by me with my Reigonal Head when I was 2 months pregnant.
We had a meeting this week, prior to this meeting I have sent a mail to the HR and Reigonal head that i shall be taking my maternity leave around August, 2017.
In the meeting that was held on 8th May 2017 , my Reigonal Head keep pressurising that I must Resign rather then taking my Maternity leave but when I kept firm on taking Maternity leave, a PIP was issued by her to me,the very next day, which I was supposed to sgin then and there. Unreasonable personal targets like 5.6 lakh sale for May and 6 lakh sale for June were given whereas the maximum business done by company was 4.5 lakhs in the month of August, 2016.
The company has been in operation in current location from past 10 months, prior to this it was working at different location. It has 40 branches across the country.
I seek to get a legal advice regarding what is the option available to me, will it be feasible to take a legal action.
My PIP is till 30th June 2017.
