Dispute with the committee of a local housing society.
I bought a flat in Rupasi Abasan, Rajarhat, Kolkata. There were 144 flats with 6 blocks in this housing. Till Dec 2016 the promoter was doing all the maintenance of the housing as they charged maintenance for 3 years from everybody in advance after that the flats owners were supposed to form a society committee and do all the maintenance activities. But now as there were 27 flat owners are there those who were actually the land owner earlier for the same land where the housing was constructed. Now they formed a committee with their own among themselves and fixed a rate of maintenance of Rs 1.25 without any voting and now they are forcing other people to pay the maintenance amount into a bank account which is a savings account of an individual. I know that they should form a Housing society under West Bengal Housing Co operative Society Act and after obtaining a PAN against the housing name they need to open a account and do the audit every year, but when i suggested this option to them then they refused to do so. Kindly help me as to what action should by taken from my end now.
