Illegal sale of agricultural land
Sir myself Vasantalata Ganjigatti, aged 57 years from Dharwad. I have a land of 1.20 acres in Mishrikoti village. It is a joint ancestral land owned by my father-in-law along with his three brothers. After the death of my father-in-law in 1988 it was transferred to my mother-in-law, then after her death to my husband in 1990. My husband died in 2001 due to kidney failure, so we were unable to lookafter the land and or use it for agricultural purpose. My father-in-laws brothers used to lookafter the land since then. But recently we got the subsidy amount of Rs. 1109 from government which does not match the land we had. So we went to tahasildar office and took RTC there we came to know that the land has been sold to some women in 2002 by me which is not possible as I have not been to the village since after my husbands death. In RTC the name of my two sons are there along with some other women, whereas it should be my name instead of other women. So we contacted the registration office they told us to take sale deed of that land. So after taking the sale deed we came to know that someone had done forgery signature in my name and there is no fingerprint or photo of either party in the sale deed. Also the witnesses are the brothers of my father-in-law who are illiterates. But in sale deed they have done signature (written their name) which is in the same style and handwriting of the advocate even my signature is done by the same advocate after checking the handwriting by my fried who is a forensic expert. So we went in search of that Advocate, but we came to know that the Advocate had died in 2009. So please help me what to do to reclaim our land which was illegally sold.
Thanking you,
V.A Ganjigatti
