Medical Negligance

Dear Sir, My father was diagnosed with a tumour in throat and admitted in Apollo Gleneagles Hospital on 19.05.2014. After their tests & diagnosis I was advised for a laser surgery for removal of the tumour followed by biopsy and if detected cancerous then next course action. Father operated on 23.05.2014 and the doctor informed that operation was done and the mass (not shown to us) has ben sent for biopsy. After 5-6 days doctor informed me that he has seen the biopsy report partly (full report are yet to come) and nothing to worry as the tumour was non malignant BUT but the patient needs another surgery (open access) becaust the full tumour was not removed. Father again operated on 28.05.2014 and post operation doctor showed me the mass and said now it is totally removed and patient will be discharged as soon as the wound heals. They shifted the patient in to General Ward after one day in ICU, however they had kept 3-4 days in ICU after laser surgery. On 10.06.2014 doctors informed me that patient has infection in operated area. On 11.06.2014 night hospital informed me that patient has an cardiac arrest (patient shifted to ICU), which later denied on 12th morning saying it was a breathing problem due to blockade of tracheotomy tube due to secretion and now the patient is fine and will be shifted to Gen Ward by today. But doctor informed me about low blood pressure and wait for normal. Later the started advising me to take patient home or some small nursing home for regular dressing and medicines as I had started questioning their treatment. I was told by some junior doctors about severe infection. Finally I filed a police complaint on 25.06.2014 againt hospital and doctor & got discharged my father on MADA and admitted my father to another nursing home and finally wasting my hard earned money, undergoing the mental trauma, I lost my father on 09.07.2014. The most alarming thing was that Apollo having a full fledged ENT ward kept the patient in Gastro ward. I don't know why? In the month of August local police station called me and asked to submitt whatever documents I have to support my case. I did so and submitted some medical documents I had that time except Post mortem report. which takes time.. But nothing is done till date. Now please suggest what to do? Should I complain in to District Consumer Forum or Medical Council first. Please advise............
