Right to live in peace

Hello, I'm not sure, in what category should I log in the comments. I've selected 'civil law' as of section. I'm from Mira Road, Thane, Maharashtra. I'm a graphic designer in a private firm. Here is the issue of which I need advise - the residents of my above floor has a peculiar issue. the family has moved in just few months back, and we have lost our peace of mind at night. The family has three children, who has the habit playing, running, jumping dropping objects in the floor all day. During the day, those noises from above gets covered due to commotions outside. Things start unbearable when it is night. The area outside gets quiter apart from the thumping sounds from above. These noises continue till 12am or even more sometimes 1am, till their father comes home and go to sleep! All suggestions to them (polite and aggressive) has fallen to deaf ears. Ive also written a complaint to our society, but things did not improve. One night things went far, I went upstairs to make them understand about the noise at around 11:30pm, there we had a scuffle and they have already complained to police and I've a bitter experience to it. What are my options to stop this menace?
