Labour Law or other Law
It is a peculiar case as no India law protects human life in such situation. I am a journalist working in a national daily. They have transferred me to 700 km to New Delhi to circumvent Supreme Court decision on Majithia wage board recommendations. I do not deny on going transfer but I am in a typical situation; may parents are older and they are solely dependent upon me. They cannot walk without support, cannot travel, and have other ailments too. Recently my mother was discharged from hospital and my company had paid a portion of expenses. So the company has full knowledge of it. If I leave my parents their daily life will be crippled. I do not want to do so. I have made a plea to my company to pay me wages in accordance with the law. But the company management has denied even before labour commissioner in written. Where should I go for justice? So that I can be with my parents. Or should I quit the job. There is a law in favour of senior citizens but there is no law to support those sons who wants to sacrifice everything for their parents.
