Regarding divorce

I am graduate non working women from Jhansi Uttar Pradesh belong to Hindu Brahmin family. I was married to man from Jaipur, Rajasthan in 2011. At the time of marriage we were told that the guys works with a reputed News paper agency at a premium post and has no bad habits such as drinking and smoking. The marriage was conducted according the proper Hindu mythology and even a handsome amount of worth 14,00000(fourteen Lakhs INR) was paid as dowry excluding jewelry and household stuffs. My father-in-law is a ex railway employ. Soon after marriage i came to know that my husband is not only drinks but he is a drunkard and is jobless. Despite these things after 6 months of marriage my In-laws started harassing me physically and mentally for additional Dowry. I was often beaten to death and sexually abused by my husband every single night. I joined to the local school to help my husband financially as i was forced to do so. But all in vain. time passed, i got pregnant from my husband, now the started blaming for the child and after two month of pregnancy the forced my abortion as the fetus was found dead because of over beaten by my husband at my abdominal area. Gradually things went worst and finally they threw me out of my in-laws. I came back to my parents who are not capable to take my responsibility financially. With a hope for the things to get back to the track i refuse to lodge the FIR against my In-laws rather i choose to wait as i was pretty sure my parents will not be able to undertake such financial and social pressure. i waited for next 6 months with no clue. then after one of my relative suggested me to go for 498a. i went to police station and lodged the complaint. My family even financed the police go to Jaipur to arrest my husband, my brother who is settled in Agra and me escort them to Jaipur. But as they were deled by paying a handful amount and some political influence they (police) helped him to grant bail without being arrested. Now i am continuously getting threat phone calls from him stating neither he will go for a divrc neither for medation. now he have lodged a application against my entire family that he is not able to come to court at Jhansi (as i have filed 498a at jhansi court) because my family looted him once he was in Jhansi. Now the police come to my house with that complaint copy filed by my husband against my family and ask for money or they intimidate to files the case against my family. my entire family is under pressure and have lost mental stability. now i am seeking to lodge a divorce against my husband please advice. Is it ok and favorable for my to lodge the divorce from my end. Will i be in peril. please help. pardon for my English. Writing this with a great hope sir.
