Rights of childless widower in late wife's ancestral property

Sir/Madam, 1. My father-in-law(FIL), a resident of Vasco-da-gama, Goa, bought some shares of Maharashtra Scooter in around 1979. He was the sole holder of those shares. 2. In 1980 he died in a road accident. 3. He was survived with wife and very young kids. 4. FIL's younger daughter got married in 1995 and died in 2001 due to TB, without having any child from this marriage. Her husband remarried after her death and is living with his current wife and two kids from his second marriage in the same town. 5. FIL's elder son died in 1998 without getting married. 6. His wife, my mother-in-law (MIL) expired last year in Feb-2016. 7. All the original shares, the Bonus shares and the unclaimed dividend warrants on those shares are still in the name of FIL. 8.
