Dispute on personal road in property

I have a property where my father and his brother divided the property in two parts and ours is in the back side the service road from the personal property was left for both of us use now, my fathers brother is bothering us every day and mentioning that the road is on his property and giving threats and encouraging us to fight with them also in front of our gate in the road they creating issues every day and breaking the path, what legal action can we take to solve this dispute, we tried to talk with them but they are not ready to understand. there was no legal document signed by either of the parties at the time of partition, i am a working professional and i always worried that when i am not at home they might hurt my family members, can i raise a criminal case against them containing the property dispute or what action can i take. last year they already have fight with my family on which i called the police but in the police station the police advised to solve it internally but it is getting worse daily.
