My father's share in ancestors' property.

In my family there are two brothets, one is my uncle (elder) and 2nd is my father (younger), My father is illiterate hence he does not have any sense of cleverness and cruelity. Almost from last 25 years we have been living in Delhi at different place, we have an ancestral property in our village, my uncle has already built a house there as he is having a very good income but my father is not having any sort of income even he was working as a labour in my uncle's factory under the supervision of my uncle, now he has fired my father from the work and my father is unemployed as well. My father is now demanding for the share in the ancestral property then my uncle is asking for the money that he has invested in building that particular house on our ancestors' property and my grandparents are also supporting my uncle just because of his money. Does my father have any right in property and if yes, is it necessary to pay the money because we haven't taken anything from our grandparents for last 25 years. My grandfather was a public servant, now retired since 2 years, he get almost around 1.5 lakh rupees as his pension on yearly basis.
