Land Registration Problem
Hello Respected Sir's/Madam's,
My Name is Pradeep Boga, My father have got a GP (General Power of Attorney) on a Land. When we approach the Registration office to get that land register to someone in my family, registration officer said that this land is listing under Assignment list and its gets stopped from registration.
But during the GP time (1991) we haven’t seen any such issues we were very sure that Land was not in assignment list and explain to registrar respectively. Also documents carried clear title of land and its got registered 3 times to 3 subsequent buyers before we brought it. When registrar pulled the Prohibitory List, its shows land was registered till we got the power and couple of entries showing as assignment land.
Respected registrar genuinely tried to see the current year prohibitory list sent by the revenue authorities (which are in hard copy books and yet to enter into computers/online) and we could not see any entry in new books luckily.
Later Registrar suggested said that, since the land was in prohibitory list earlier and taken out from the list recently we can’t do the registration till the proceedings on the new list from the respective divisional office.
So my concern is; Land has a clear title also carries valid Passbook and not listed in the current Prohibitory list why can’t we register the land?? What would be the best option to handle this situation?
Kindly help me to understand the case better and suggestions please.
Regards,
Pradeep Boga
