Icici bank
I have taken pre-owned car loan from ICICI Bank through DSA on July 2008 for Rs.335,000/- i also paid the first 2 EMI however in the month of Nov-2008 car was stolen. I did lodge FIR to local police station. FIR lodged on 8th Nov 2008, same situation has been notify to ICICI Loan department - Bommanahalli, Bangalore Branch.
I gave the written request and FIR copy to Bank officials to handle the situation, by that time ICICI Bank Agent - DSA did not handover the Car documents to me (RC and Insurance) due to which i could not claim the insurance.
I have been informed will find out the resolution and get back to you however no body turned back till 2010. From that time i was / still getting lot of threatening calls from ICICI Bank Call Centers / Agents keep visited my home. I have the voice-recording too where ICICI Bank executives abused and threatened me, which i already shared with Local Branch to look into. Since then there is no resolution. Today (17th Oct 2016) I been to Bommanahalli Branch to get the info about my status, i have been inform to pay Rs. 1,162,336/- to settle the case.
I also realized, at the time of loan i have been advised 15% (not sure the exact figure) would be the rate of interest however i noticed 18.65% rate of interest is mentioned on the statement. And additional 24% also added i don't know what for.
From the beginning i was ready to pay the amount and do the settlement, but nobody helping me accept threatening me. Now the outstanding is beyond my limit.
I do not have proper financial balance, i am working as contractual basis jobs. I do not have stable job, i am working from home as a contractor.
Please advise and give me the better resolution to settle this. I do not want to carry any baggage which haunt entire my life. I have already face to many threatens from ICICI Officials since 2008. Its been 8 years and it didn't change anything, i have faced lot of challenges because of this, no financial aid from any financial institutes. Back ground verification failed for any reputed jobs.
Thanks,
Nitin Maithani
