• My brother has been missing since 2 weeks after his marriage 2008

My Brother has been missing since 2 weeks after his marriage in August 2008. I have never heard from him or seen him in person neither do I have any information about him.
Hi had an arranged marriage with blessings of all family members and friends. His wife i understand didn't wanted to stay with her inlaws hence, wanted to move to a separate dwelling. After they left, my mother and father tried visiting girl's family house to gather whereabouts, however, they were not received well (my parents were in fact man handled by the girl) . During this instance, my parents learned that the couple were living in the girl's family house. Our family was taken aback post this incident as we were not sure what was happening. Later on we received communication asking my parents not to try contacting my brother or any of the girl's family members. We have tried various means to try locate and communicate with my brother with no luck. I even fear that he is been subject to violence and extortion. Its been 8 years since then that our family has no whereabouts about my brother. The girl's family is not willing to talk to us on this.
I urging to find my brother and bring them to justice if they have committed any unlawful retention.
My parents are getting old and have been moaning his separation from the family. We understand if he wants to be left alone, however, we would like to see him alive and know what shape he is in.
Please advice.

Hi, file a complaint in the Jurisdictional police for missing of your brother and suppose if you have any doubt that he is in wrongful confinement to some other person then you have to file a writ petition in the High Court for hebeous corpus.

1. It is strange that you have not acted for 8 long years to find the whareabouts of your brother.

2. It is also strange that your brother has not contacted you ever in last 8 years.

3. Hoever, lodge a police complaint alleging that your brother has been kept in captivity seeking information about his whereabouts.

4. After that file a Habeas Corpus petition before the High Court praying for direction upon police to present your brother before the Court on th next date of hearing.

You should file a police complaint for your brother having gone missing. The complaint should have been filed a long back but better late than never. Police will carry out the necessary investigation to find out the whereabouts of your brother. The complaint should be filed to the jurisdictional police station.

You have wasted 8 years or more by not even thinking of taking any legal action on this.

At this stage a police complaint also may not be effective

Alternately your parents may issue a legal notice to her father to send their son back or at least to communicate to them that he is safe, hale and healthy and heir reply to be within a stipulated time as mentioned in the legal notice.

After this your parents may approach police with a complaint about man missing and can name the girl and her parents as suspects for suppressing the facts about his whereabouts.

This can be followed by a haebus corpus petition before high court which will solve all the riddles.
