Hello,

  1. There's no legality involved in a date as it is supposed to be an activity involving two consenting people and if the boy has objections about making payment for it he must not agree forit, it is his choice after all.
  2. It makes no difference whether the venue is public or private as long as it is a date.

Dating someone is not illegal in India but it also depends on things one is offering to do in such kind of dating. If someone is charging money for something like prostitution in a public place than surely it is illegal.

Dating is not illegal in the Indian legal system. There is no specific law that prohibits individuals from dating, regardless of their religion or culture.

However the demand for money for dating and fulfilling the demand purely depends on the couple involved in dating.

If the boy do not agree or not willing to pay any money for this dating then he can refuse and get away from this

dear client, in India, the legality of charging money for going on a date is not explicitly addressed in the law. However, there are several legal provisions that could be relevant depending on the circumstances:

  1. Contract Act, 1872: If both parties agree to the terms of the date, including any payment, it could be considered a contract. As long as the agreement is lawful, with lawful consideration and a lawful object, and not expressly declared to be void, it would generally be valid under Sections 10 and 23 of the Contract Act.

  2. Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956: If the nature of the date implies an exchange of money for sexual favours, it could potentially fall under the scope of this Act, which criminalises sexual exploitation for commercial purposes.

  3. Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986: Charging money for a date should not involve any indecent representation of the woman, as that would be prohibited under this Act.

  4. Information Technology Act, 2000: If the arrangement is made online, and if any content shared is obscene or lascivious, it could attract provisions under this Act, particularly Section 67, which penalizes the publication of obscene content in electronic form.

It’s important to note that while there is no specific law that prohibits charging for a date, the context and conduct of both parties during the date could bring the activity under the purview of various laws. It’s also essential to consider the societal norms and perceptions, which can influence the legal interpretation of such arrangements.

For a definitive legal opinion, it would be advisable to consult with a legal professional who can provide guidance based on the specifics of the situation.

- It is not illegal to charge money for dating by a girl at a public place.

- Further, even prostitution is not an offence and only sexual exploitation, seducing someone, running brothels, pimping, soliciting, etc. are penalized under Section 2 (f) of the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act.
