2) Your complaint shall be referred to the concerned Police Station, where you may be called for further clarification and/or to give statement

It appears to be a fraud or a scam by which they are trying to trap you into this .

Better keep away from this without responding to any calls from their side and also immediately block the number from all your social media accounts.

If necessary you may think about lodging a criminal complaint through online mode also with the police.

The police or the cyber cell will investigate your complaint and take appropriate action against the offender. However, this may take some time depending on the complexity and severity of your case. Therefore, you should be patient and cooperate with the authorities.

You should also be careful while using the internet and avoid falling prey to any fraudulent schemes or offers. Here are some tips to protect yourself from cyber fraud:

• Do not share your personal or financial information with anyone online or over phone calls or messages.
• Do not click on any suspicious links or attachments in emails or messages.
• Do not download or install any unknown or unverified apps or software on your device.
• Do not pay any money or fees for any online job or service without verifying its authenticity and legitimacy.
• Do not trust anyone who claims to be from a reputed organization or authority without verifying their identity and credentials.
• Do regular updates and scans of your device and use antivirus and firewall software.
• Report any suspicious or fraudulent activity to the concerned authorities as soon as possible.
