- If the threatening calls are made on phone you can approach the police and make a written complaint against the persons making calls and the your opponents in civil dispute.
- More effective procedure is to approach the High Court and bring to its notice the It amounts of contempt of Court. High Court will issue direction to police to register FIR and provide protection to you.
Threatening to come for settlement
Hello Sir, Me and my Relatives have property disputes and civil suite is pending in High court. Now the case is in final hearing stage and they understood they will lost it. They approached some criminal goons and threatening me and my family to come for settlement otherwise they will kidnap/kill us. Could you please tell me how to act in this situation. Thank you sir.

File poluce complaint against relatives for criminal intimidation under section 506 of IPC
You can file criminal complaint against them and seek police protection
1. Try to collect evidence in support of your said allegation like audio/video recording etc
2. Thereafter lodge a police complaint against them asking for registering FIR based on your said complaint and also seeking police protection.
3. If police refuses to act, file a Writ Petition before the High Court praying for direction upon the police to register FIR based on your said complaint, investigate and act as per law.
