• Are online schools recognised by Indian/Delhi Govt?

PLEASE TAKE OUT YOUR PRECIOUS TIME TO READ MY QUESTION AND ANSWER IT IN DETAILS. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.
Nowadays, there are many online/Virtual schools which are launched for example: - K21 School, K8 School, AOL School and many more. My child is 4 years and I am planning to start his education/create his foundation with Online Virtual/Digital Schools. I would like to know whether these schools are CBSE recognised (Indian/Delhi Govt) recognised or not? If yes, then can you post a govt website link where I can check which online schools are recognised? And also after few years of online education, can I put my child to any offline regular school (in Delhi) in future? Will Delhi University accept Online School students for admissions in Future? Kindly tell me the current laws regarding this. If these things has been accepted and implemented by our govt at present then pls attach the links too. If these things are under process then I think online education is just a waste of time. This is about my child's foundation and his future so pls i request you to tell me everything in details. Today's child becomes tomorrow's future for our Country India.

National Institute for Open Schooling (NIOS) is the official platform for home-based schooling by the government of India. It caters to students through its academic and vocational education department.

2) The Indian legal system does not consider homeschooling or online education to violate any clause or provision of the RTE 2009. As a result, homeschooling is allowed in India!

3) you have to check with CBSE whether these online schools are recognised by CBSE or not

4) it is better to admit your child in regular

school

Under different education of laws of States online school education is not recognized. During Covid-19 it was an exception. For recognition by government a school is required to have all infrastructure like playground, proper building, library etc.

In the aftermath of COVID-19 pandemic, more and more educational institutions are adopting the model of online schooling.

The Indian government acknowledges each child’s ‘RIGHT TO EDUCATION’ and appreciates all efforts in this regard. The Indian judicial system does not hold homeschooling or online schooling against any section or provision (sections 18 and 19) of the RTE 2009. As a result, homeschooling is allowed in India.

Formally recognized and accredited online schools are no different than physical schools. In India, National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is one of the curriculum frameworks that are at par with CBSE or CISCE Certificates and offer valid entry to Colleges and Universities including IIT, Medical Colleges and UPSC. Online schools that offer NIOS curriculum are a must.

when choosing an online school look at the accreditation and curriculum provided by the institute. Online schools also offer a transfer certificate and marksheet to students at the end of the academic year.

Homeschooling became permitted in Maharashtra on January 10th, 2019.

In Maharashtra, the government has agreed on the following age groups to take the exams:

Class 5 – 10 years,
Class 8 – 13 years,
Class 10 – 15 years

Homeschooled children may take board exams as private pupils. Parents must prepare them almost like any other student and ensure that all forms registering them as private pupils are completed and submitted on time.

You check the affliations. As there is no law that online school needs to be recognised with any state or central authority. Even there is no codified law for the same

- Mostly online schools are recognized by the State Government and also central government body , Hence you can enquire the same from the website of CBSE , NIOS or similar authority before admitting your kid

- However, an online school should not given prefer over the offline school due to concealment of true facts by the online schools .
