It is not genuine concern
you should be permitted to learn on comfortable device
Hi there, I am using academic paid software which has lecture videos, lecture notes, and a question bank. Question bank can be used in a web browser on any device. However, the lecture videos and notes can only be watched/read on a tablet or smartphone. Both kinds of devices usually have a small screen. Watching a small screen put a strain on the eyes and hence headaches. Is it possible legally (by filing a case against them ) to make the company allow watching video and reading notes on bigger screen devices like laptops and desktops? Such technology is simple. Their excuse is that if they put videos and notes on the laptop and desktop, their contents may be pirated. Is this a genuine cause that would forbid a learner to use a more comfortable device? I would appreciate your advice. Thanks

Lawyers are available now to answer your questions.
First of all you go through the terms and conditions of the institute that is offering you this online education course.
If it prohibits you from accessing the lecture videos and notes to be watched on a bigger device, then you cannot do anything about it since you have accepted the terms and paid for the services.
You can always project the problem before th4e concerned institute and express your inability to access them on a smaller device and request them to permit you to access to them through a bigger device.
You cannot take any legal action agaisnt them if they have nt violated any terms and conditions.
Dear Client,
their concern may be genuine but you can request them to provide such software. filing case against them is not advisable.
- Mostly all the private online educational portals are proving their contents with the Tablets only , and not on bigger screens .
- However, they cannot face any legal obstruction , if they provide laptops for providing the education after charging fees for the same.
- Further, their excuses are not seem to be acceptable , and it can be challenged after approaching the appropriate forum .
- Further, if you are not satisfied with the services tendered by that institutions , then you have right to cancel the same and to get the full refund of the amount paid by you.
- It is well settled law that any service provider like the training institutes, educational institutes/schools or the coaching centers cannot be allowed to forfeit the fees or consideration received in advance in case the student has not availed the service.
- Hence, you can send him a notice for providing you the facility of education through the laptop or refund the entire amount paid by you.
