• Encumberance certificate

This is the first time I see the ECs. There are two entries for the same plot one in 1998 and the other in 2000. I bought in 1998. Can you please clarify?

Sir,  there can't be two Sale Deed entry. You have to verify the documents. If the entry found is wrong then you have to file a suit.

- An encumbrance is a claim made against a property by someone other than the current titleholder. 

- Further, it is a document used as evidence of free title/possession of a property. 

- Further , a property cannot have two EC certificates by the same executor.

Dear Client,

The first ex means executor and CL means claimant. C means claimant and E means executor. But the second entry resembles to that of Release deed.
