• Signed blank contract

I signed a blank a public adjuster contract. A copy of the blank contract with the signature was emailed to me. He made changes to the contract and submitted it to the insurance company, without my approval. Is this contract enforcable between the public adjuster and myself?

1) The meaning of execution of a documentordinarily implies that a person making his signature by way of execution knew or should have known the nature of the document which he was signing.

2) Section 20 of the NI Act envisages that if a person gives an incomplete negotiable instrument to other, the other person has the authority to fill the same.

public adjuster is an independent insurance professional that a policyholder may hire to help settle an insurance claim on his or her behalf.

It's free, simple and secure. Insurance adjusters are responsible for evaluating the extent of damage to a home after an incident like a fire or windstorm. And public insurance adjusters evaluate property loss on behalf of a policyholder and help them file insurance claims in exchange for a fee.

Since you have signed the contact with the public adjuster, you have to owe the responsibility and you are liable for the contents therein because you have signed it.

What made you to sign the blank contract?

This is a fraud and coercion and the terms haven't been conveyed to you. This contract is void and is a nullity. Cannot be enforced.

Dear Sir/Ma'am,

1) A contract’s acceptance must be clearly communicated in order for that contract to be effective. As the contract herein was submitted without your approval the same is not voidable at your instance.

2) No public adjuster can agree to any loss settlement without the insured’s knowledge and consent.

3) You can pursue civil remedies against the same.

Thank you
