What was reason for cancellation of patta kindly clarify
Property Patta declared as Govt Land
There was a patta which was given the previous owners in 1989 Post which a builder got this and constructed a building in 1991 , now one of the Flat owners when they went to sell the flat it was found that the patta given in 1989 was cancelled in 2016 Aug Now we have a building with over 30 ppl staying and staying over a period of 30 years.. please advice .. Area : arumbakkam Chennai Block : 10 Survey # 21/A 21/B 22/A 22/B

- You should approach the revenue officer/collector for getting detailed information regarding that property
- Further, if you have sale deed in your favour , then you can apply for getting patta in your name .
- Further , if refused by the district revenue officer for converting the patta in your name , then you should file a Writ Petition before the Chennai High court for restoring the Patta and to convert the same in your name .
If you people have been served notice by the authorities concerned, then you should issue a reply denying the allegations and claim that this property belongs to you by a registered sale deed on your names.
After that you people can file a suit for declaration to declare your title on the basis of the registered sale deed on your names besides you can plead that you perfect the title by operating the law of adverse possession too.
Consult a local lawyer and file a suit involving all the affected people either individual or a collective suit.
Let the property be situated in any area, you have been suggested to take proper legal action as per law.
This is was the reason : issuing patta to grama natham land was an error committed by revenue authorities in those days hence it was cancelled

You have bought it by registered sale deed hence you can fight it out strongly.

Since the error was created by the revenue authorities, you can contest the same and demand compensation. you require to hire ab advocate and discuss this matter with them to send a legal notice to the authorities and later a case against them. you need to show all the documents as proofs so keep them safe. you have a strong case and surely it will turn fruitful on your side.
