You can try searching the case status via the online e-courts district website- E-courts Mission Mode Project the link for which is - https://districts.ecourts.gov.in/

Here you can select the state and district where the case is filed and after selecting the 'Case Status' option placed at the right hand side, choose Party name and you will be directed to another server which is a repository of cases. You can enter the name of the person against whom the case was filed along with the year of case filing. If you are unable to browse it on your own, you might want to seek the help of lawyer.
