I want to do farming post retirement. However i do not belong to farmer family. I have found out that i can legally buy farming land at Jharkhand my birth town. I was given Rajasthan option by land broker which i found fishy. I am unsure if agri land ownership document from Jharkhand will allow me to buy land at Maharastra or do i also need to get a farmer certificate . Is there a minimum size that i need to buy at Jharkhand to be eligible to buy agri land here rgds sg

There are offers by various brokers to help me obtain a agri land ownership document and a farmer certificate from Rajasthan that as per them will help me buy agri land at Maharashtra. Is this process legal. The charges quoted are Rs 60k to 80k .
