My Agriculture Land 1.1/4 Acres Situated in Residential Approved Township in Karnal
Sir/mam
I am Farmer with a land holding of 1.1/4 Acres. My land is surrounded by approved township by country and town planning. What are the options allowed as per law to me.
1. Can I Make two of farm houses of ½ Acre each for Sale & Rest ¼ Acre for my Residential.
Kindly note my land is connected to 11 Feet’s Revenue Rasta on one side and 24 Meter road of town ship colony on other side.

- As per law, an agricultural land cannot be used for residential purposes, and you cannot construct a house on agricultural land for residing.
- However you can construct farm house or temporary structure on agriculture land with the permission of the local authority/panchayat
- Generally to build farm house 4 % of total area allowed, and showing that you will keep your farm equipment, livestock..and needful things..

- Hence, without converting the agriculture land into residential , you cannot use the same as residential.

You have to make application for conversion of agricultural land into NA and after conversion application is granted then construct 3 houses in said land

You may have to obtain approval for conversion of 1/4  portion of property to non agricultural land in order to enable you to convert it to residential property. 

The remaining one acre will remain as the same until you divide it by a partition deed with the help of surveyor and village revenue officer.
