Inline as ADMO Probationer in Indian Railways and after completing 12 weeks training was posted at NR. I took three years Extraordinary Leave ( for study purpose) without salary and did my PostGraduation. I joined still as probationer after availing 3 years EOL. Now still as probationer, I am not getting job satisfaction because of not getting work profile for what my PG subject was. I want to resign and pursue Super specialisation. What is the penalty and process for resignation.

1) Resignations of Group A & B railway servants, other than those holding administrative posts, serving on railways may be accepted by the General Manager.
2) The resignation submitted by Group A probationers of different services undergoing probationary training in various Centralized Training Institutes may be accepted by the Heads of Centralized Training Institutes .
3) Resignation of all other Group A & B railway servants on Indian Railways/Production Units shall be forwarded to the Railway Ministry.

You are suggested to confirm the details from the HR department regarding the rule for the resignation and penalty if there is any. You may also get the same information by way of RTI from the department and then you may act accordingly.
EOL cannot be taken again. You want to resign then there muat be a bond period and if you leave then you have to pay the penalty. Refer to the contract.
